Spring is Coming!

It's been a long winter, but we are finally seeing signs of spring!! It's been in the low 50's this week and we are looking for a few days of sunshine too! Today we did some painting in the living room! We painted one wall a dark brown and it looks great and now I'm in the mood to do some more! I've gotten a hint of spring in the air (and by this I mean it smells like mud a lot) and I feel like I have been nesting! (And, NO, I'm NOT pregnant). We'll finish painting our master bathroom tomorrow. Something that should have been done YEARS ago! No more baby blue and yellow stenciling! WOOHOO!!

The last couple of months have been rather uneventful being winter and all, which is why we decided to take a weekend trip to Minnesota a few weekends ago! I had a fun time at our cousin's baby shower, while Paully got to hang with the guys and Morgan spent the night with Grandma. Paul and I got to go out with the cousins that night for a few drinks too! It was a lot of fun to just hang out. Sunday morning Paul and I went to grandma's house to pick up Morgan and we got a good taste of her independence. After a 25 minute power struggle, we finally won and we were off on our way home. The temper-tantrums are a new thing for her, and we are still learning how to deal with them. Welcome to the three's!

Last weekend we bought Morgan her twin mattress and Tuesday she was in it! She was SOOOO excited to have her tinkerbell sheets! She told me last night that she likes to talk to tinkerbell! Too cute!

Last weekend Morgan got to sing Christmas songs with her preschool friends at Barnes and Noble. It was quite overwhelming for Morgan since there were TONS of kids and families as you'll see, but she got into it! Check it out!

Morgan is a Preschooler!

Our Sweet baby girl is growing up so fast! Morgan began preschool on Wednesday, September 9th. (090909; a cool day indeed) A few weeks before school started we read books about preschool, and talked about what happens during the day. I have to say, I was a little more than worried about how she would handle it. She tends to be a shy girl and only a few months ago had SEVERE separation anxiety every day for 3 weeks when I dropped her off at daycare.

Once the day arrived, she was SO excited to go AND excited that she could bring her packpack to school, (also know as a backpack). I LOVE it so much when she says packpack, that I don't even want to correct it. One day she'll learn to say it correctly and I'll be sad. So, Wednesday morning was a shortened day. Paul and I stayed with her for a bit. We decorated a crown that she'll get to wear when she turns 3 and we got to hang around for circle time where they sang about Jesus. It was absolutely fascinating to be a part of that. Watching all of the kids and seeing where Morgan fits into it all. During circle time they all sat on their carpet squares, and by all I mean that the teachers tried their best to keep them on all on their carpet squares. Morgan sat SO well and followed direction too. I was absolutely amazed! To think that they're little minds can actually follow simple commands. Too bad they don't follow those simple commands at home! ;) Morgan was such a good girl and my heart lept just watching her grow up before my own eyes.

Last week was her first full week of preschool and she's loved every day of it. The first day I picked her up, she told me, "Morgan no want to go, want to stay here." SO cute! That was a good sign that she likes it! From what I've heard the teachers really love her. They keep saying how sweet she is and that she follows directions very well. They've even used Morgan as an example to follow what Morgan is doing. They say she's still a bit hesitant on the playground. She is more of a watcher than a doer, but they keep telling her to run and play. I'm sure that will happen soon enough! I'm SO proud of our little pumpkin!

This one below is the picture after we put her in pants and decided it was WAY too cold that morning to send her in skorts. (of course it heated up quickly and then after preschool we changed into shorts again. Gotta love this time of year!)

Business is GOOD! And Some Summer Fun Too!

Fortunately, our business has been done really well the first half of this year. We have just completed a full basement remodel and yesterday we finished remodeling a house due to a water loss. It has been a VERY busy last couple of weeks. Here are some pictures from the basement remodel. Paul did an amazing job!

Last night we were able to finally get Morgan's new pool all set up! Last year she barely went in her little pool. She would squat outside the pool and play with the toys in the pool. This year was quite different. As soon as she saw it, she wanted to get right in (even though it was FREEZING). She LOVED it, and we had a great time. Here are a couple of pictures of last night!

2-Year Olds Are Funny!

It has been such a blessing over the last couple of months to watch Morgan grow, and too see how God has given her such an amazing ability to grasp the concept of new things. Each day she is saying SO many new words, and understanding so many things that I am just in awe of how her brain works.

Recently, I've tried to make an agreement with myself to write every funny thing she says down...or at least blog about it, so someday she'll hear about it. I SO wish that I could have a hidden camera in the car when we are driving to and from daycare everyday. I'm pretty sure the athorities would frown upon me trying to videotape our conversations in the car! What amazing conversations we have, and I am really beginning to LOVE that time. We sing, say prayers, talk about the things we see and it is a lot of fun to be with her as she's learning and growing. Here are just a some of the things she's said in the past couple weeks...

One day I was praying aloud in the car, and she asked if she could pray too. I asked her who we should pray for and she said our Pastor. SO cool! So, I said, "Let's Pray." She said, "No Mama pray Pastor Jeff, Morgan pray Pastor Jeff." I said, "Ok, you can pray by yourself" She then proceeded to fold her hands, close her eyes and bow her head (VERY CUTE!) and then I could see her mumbling. I heard her saying our bedtime prayer and I nearly died with laughter (inside my head of course). Then she smiled, lifted her head and said "AMEN!" This was one of the cutest things I have witnessed. We are blessed with such an amazing loving little girl and my heart grew 10 times just watching and listening to her that day. (and Pastor Jeff, she prayed the Now I Lay Me prayer just for you!)

Another funny story...One day Morgan had asked me why I had stopped the car. She wanted me to keep driving of course, so I had been teaching her what stoplights were as we were driving. I showed her the colors and that we stop at red lights, and we go at green lights. So, "Red means stop, Yellow means caution, and green means GO!" (and hearing her yell caution is just so darn cute!) One day, about a week later, I had turned around to talk with her while the stop light was red. We had been there for about 15 seconds when Morgan said, "Mama, Green means go!" I turned around to see a green light! I was SO impressed! Now she's telling me how to drive and she's only 2!!!

I have one last funny story to share today...To give you some background in case you haven't read our previous posts. Morgan has recently been potty trained. We are no longer in diapers, YAY!!! So she has really been into all stuff about the potty. She LOVES this movie we have called "Potty Power." (P.s. I would encourage any of you who are going to do potty training to get this movie! Morgan just loves it and it's VERY basic. They just sing songs, and talk about the basics of going potty. I thought it was a great tool to help Morgan understand). Anyway, I digress; So, one day we were running really late on the way to daycare. I told her we were late for daycare because the power went out at home. Of course I wasn't thinking clearly and any 2 year old would then ask what that means. Try explaining a power outage to your toddler someday. NOT an easy task. So, I gave it a whirl knowing it wouldn't really go anywhere. I said that the power had gone out, that it controls a lot of the things in our house like the lights, the fans, our alarm clocks by our beds, and her sound machine too. Then she said, as if perfectly factual information, "Like Potty Power, Like Morgan's Potty Power!" and what else could I say??? I was laughing so hard. I said...yep, kinda like potty power! (Yeh, you give it a try sometime and see if you can do any better!)

Well, those are a few stories for right now. I hope they gave you a little chuckle. They sure gave me one!

One Long Weekend = One Potty Trained Little Girl

This weekend we began the adventures in potty training. We talked it up pretty good Friday night about wearing big girl underwear, going potty on the potty, and getting money for each success. She was pretty excited about it on Saturday morning and it all began with a bang. Right away she got the hang of it, and between nap and bedtime we only had one accident. Amazing! Today was almost as if we had a child who'd been potty trained for a month! WEIRD! She went to the potty all on her own and I didn't need to set a timer once today. Just amazing. We only had 2 accidents ALL day; once when she couldn't get to the potty quick enough, and the other was barely noticeable.

We are SO proud of our little pumpkin. She's growing up so fast and without a diaper she just looks older! Its like she grew a year older in just 2 days. Sigh...our little girl isn't so little anymore...

Well, tomorrow I plan to stay home with her to make sure she's really trained. I have NO idea what will unfold once we get out into public. You can't carry around a potty, so what do you do when you're in the middle of copps? The playground??? There's so much we have to learn and fast! My prayer is that things continue to go well once Morgan goes back to daycare on Tuesday and that there won't be a total lapse once she's playing with friends and doesn't want to go to the potty. I'm praying this weekend wasn't exhausting for nothing!

Spring is Here...almost...

So it has been almost 2 months since I last posted. Uploading pictures to our blog, to facebook, to snapfish (to buy them and put in albums) has NOT been high on the priority list. Too many places to upload pictures, and I have had very little desire to do so. The last couple of weeks we have certainly got a taste of spring and have spent a ton of time outside. Praise God for warm days of 50's and 60's, and even one day of 70! We've even grilled out twice already this year. Mmm...Hamburgers! Morgan has already played in the dirt and fell in the mud and she was totally OK with that! We gave her some gardening tools to play with and she was entertained for quite a while. It gave us some time to chat and have a nice conversation while she was busy getting dirty! Below are a couple pictures of her having fun in the dirt!

By the end of that night she was caked full of dirt and had a muddy knee. What fun for a 2 year old toddler! Spring has been amazing for all of us, since Morgan hasn't been bored. Her tantrums had gotten a bit more frequent, but now we know that she was just totally bored! Another bonus of spring and playing outside: she is running ALL over the place. Quite the change from last year when she would barely move in the grass! AND she is EXHAUSTED and sleeps VERY well. She doesn't even talk to herself when we put her in bed, and most of the time when we check on her before we go to bed, she is in the exact same position as when we left. She doesn't even have the energy to move!

Lately Morgan just seems like such a big girl! She's growing up...sigh. She is talking in complete sentences and so many times I have laughed out loud as what she says. The other day we were in the car, with the windows down because it was really nice outside and she said, "Wind too loud, for Morgan." I nearly died. It was SO funny. I suppose she probably can't remember the last time we had the windows open!!!

Over the past 3 weeks, we've been struggling with Morgan's separation anxiety. She has not done well being left at Christina's house each morning (our daycare). This week will be pretty rough, since Christina is on vacation and Morgan will be going to our old daycare for the week. We met with them tonight to catch up and we ended up leaving when Morgan started crying and saying she wanted to go home 20 minutes into the visit. This will be a VERY rough week for me. Pray that she does well and I'm able to withstand a week of meltdowns!

Nanny Visits for Morgan's 2nd Birthday

All week long we've heard Morgan sing, "Happy Birthday Cake Morgan!" (this is her version of Happy Birthday) I would gather from that alone that she REALLY enjoyed her birthday this past week.

Nanny got into town the Friday before Morgan's birthday. Then on Thursday, Morgan's birthday, we all went out to eat at Pedro's. Morgan got a cupcake, but not before they came out singing and clapping and scared the daylights out of her! She was crying and leaning toward Paul saying "up, up!" The staff must not have training on what to do when a baby's crying while they're singing the happy birthday song because they just kept singing until the end! Oh well, after a bite of cupcake Morgan was all smiles again! After dinner we headed back home for more fun with presents and ice cream cake. Morgan got to stay up late and she loved every minute of it! We also had a birthday party on Saturday with some family. Morgan had no problems tearing open her gifts this year, and she absolutely had a blast with her cousins!

What a difference ONE year makes in the short life of a two year old. After watching old home video's recently from Morgan's 1st birthday, I am completely in awe of Morgan's growth. Last year at this time Morgan didn't know how to walk, talk, open gifts, and was afraid of everyone! So much has changed. She's running, and certainly talking; even singing. Morgan is learning so much every day and it’s amazing to see her growing SO fast. She is 34inches, and 31 pounds now! She is putting together 5-word sentences and at her recent doctor's appoint, they said her speaking and actions are at 3 year old level. We are SO proud of her!

I'm such a proud mommy that I have to spend a moment gloating. She can count from 1 – 10, and has recently started the journey to count to 20. She sings all of the ABC's, except that last line about "next time sing with me." She knows all the letters though! Morgan also LOVES to sing. She sings Jesus Loves Me, Jesus Loves the Little Children, The B-I-B-L-E song, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, and the list goes on...She is also now praying for her babies when she "feeds" them and puts them to "sleep". Too Sweet! She is such a cuddle bug right now. I just love all of her hugs and kisses. I wish that she would stay 2 forever. I'm so in love!

Nanny went home on Sunday after spending 10 days with us. Morgan loved having Nanny around! She loved having another playmate to enjoy "making someting" in her new kitchen with. Nanny was able to spend a few days at home with Morgan while I went to work, and then I was able to take Thursday and Friday off to hang out. Nanny left on Sunday, and since then Morgan has been asking "Nanny go?" especially at bedtime. We had a great time, but it was just too short and Morgan misses her already!

Christmas Wonderland in Wisconsin

This winter has already gone by so fast. Thanksgiving was spent with family back in Minnesota and we enjoyed a relatively quiet Christmas in Madison. Our annual Christmas Eve tradition is to go to church with Jeff, Dana and the kids. This year we went to St. Andrew's Christmas Eve Service with them. It was a bit rough with Morgan, since it was close to dinnertime, but the service was really nice. Afterward, we met back at the Bohrer's house. We ate some munchies and opened gifts. Morgan's favorite part was when her cousin's opened their wii from Grandma. They went nuts and she joined in too screaming and jumping around with the others! She wasn't sure what she was so excited about, but boy was she excited! That was really cute to watch...

We spent Christmas Day at our own house with Grandma. It was pretty quiet and very welcomed after the craziness of the season leading up to Christmas Day. Morgan was again overwhelmed this year and wasn't interested in opening the last few gifts. It worked out well that they were only clothes! The most fun part of the morning was watching Morgan put on her "big girl" underwear over her jammies. She wore them around for quite some time and then topped it off with her new bathrobe! Too funny! she is certainly independent.

Morgan's Counting AND she's Athletic

Last night was a pretty big night for Morgan. Although she has been teething and sick she still just amazes us! It is such a blessing to watch her grow up. I just LOVE every minute of it.

So, yesterday she counted to 10! Yay!!! She did have a little prompting with "Nine" but she completed them! What a big girl!!! It has to be the cutest thing in the world to listen to a little toddler voice count to ten. What music to the ears!

A bit later I'm laying on the floor playing with her and I'm reading about "Obama" to her. Yes, Grandma left her people magazine at our house and Morgan now LOVES to say Obama. Anyway, I'm reading this magazine to her and next thing I know she's rolling over and did a somersault right on top of the magazine! YAY!! She didn't seem to think it was a big deal though.

Maybe she IS going to be athletic after all!!!!

Halloween!

Morgan went this Halloween as a butterfly, although we couldn't get to her wear the hat part. It certainly took some getting used to. I bought it a month early and had to leave it sitting out for her to get used to. The day we bought it, she would not go near it! Fortunately, after many introductions to it, now she just LOVES it and has worn it a bunch after Halloween! Morgan had a GREAT time trick or treating with us, Jeff, Dana and the cousins. She even stayed in the stroller the whole time!. (We were worried that she would want to walk, and that would have been a real treat for Paul and I!)

The top two pictures are of us on Halloween night at the Bohrer's house. The next picture is of her and her pumpkin. She decorated her pumpkin with stickers and had a blast doing it. Less messy that way for us! Maybe next year we'll get all gooey with her. The one in her carseat is her first experience with Halloween Candy (or actually Halloween rice krispy treats. A fabulous idea and Morgan loved it). The last pictures is of Christina (our daycare provider) and her 4 year old son Ethan, Elijah who goes to daycare too and Morgan. We went to Christina's church to do trunk-or-treat before Halloween. Morgan had a great time, after crying because there were SO many kids and it was a bit overwhelming. Once she realized that people were giving her candy from their trunks, she was off to the races!!!

Here's a cute little Morgan story from Halloween night...each time we went up to the houses, instead of saying Trick-or-Treat, she kept saying "one?" As in, can I have one??? It was too funny. It's a good thing she's still young, otherwise it wouldn't have sounded so cute!!!

Fall has come and we are still as busy as ever. Hopefully within the next few weeks the pace will slow down! As a follow-up to my previous blog, I am doing MUCH better! I did have one more follow up visit at the doctors after my first week of work and I was having some more trouble breathing. Turns out that they said I was having the burning sensation because my lungs were just tired and trying to recover. That was good news...the not so good news is that they said my lungs would probably take more like 3 months to recover than 1 month. LOVELY! Other than that I've been doing well. Just overly tired, but that's to be expected, not to mention that I can't seem to find time to barely sit down! Here is how our last week has played out...

Last weekend we went to Paul's Cousin, Angie's 30th b-day party. That was a blast! Grandma took Morgan for the night so we could spend the night at Neil and Kelly's house. That was awesome. It was a great night. We stayed up WAY too late and didn't really sleep in, so we lost of a bunch of hours, but it was well worth it! Here are a couple pictures from that night!

So, Monday we got back and realized that our friends, Keenan and Linsdey were coming to town this weekend. They are here for a friends wedding and they are staying with us, which is really awesome. We also found out that other friends went to the hospital Tuesday and had their baby on Wednesday, our anniversary. Yay!!! Wednesday night Paul and I spent a quiet evening together with a bottle of wine and our wedding video. We had talked about doing something, but neither of us had the time or energy to really give it any thought. Turns out that our anniversary was wonderful just staying home, enjoying ourselves and watching our wedding video on the big-screen together. Here are a couple pictures we took in our theater room on our 3rd Wedding Anniversary!

Thursday we also had an Anniversary-plus-1 day lunch. Paul met me at work and took me to lunch at Tony Roma's. It was pretty good food, but it was great to see Paul in the middle of the day! That was fabulous! So, Thursday evening we waited for Lindsey to get into town, then I headed off for a quick visit to see the new baby! Baby Alaina Autumn was just SO adorable. I've NEVER seen a baby with such big cheeks. I think that is where all of her weight was...her cheeks and head! The rest of her was SOOO petite. Anyway, so after holding her for quite sometime (I was very lucky that family or grandparents weren't around! I had her ALL to myself!), I realized how much I REALLY would like to have another little one running around! I guess they have had a little bit of difficultly with their 2 year old the last few days, but they suspect that it is mostly due to the fact that he's been spending the nights with his Nana since Tuesday while they've been in the hospital. I don't envy them as Kylan goes through this stage. I just pray that he stays potty trained!!!!

I got home on Thursday night just in time for the Grey's Anatomy 2-hour season premiere, man was that good timing! That was Thursday. Friday I went to work as usual, and Paul picked Morgan up from daycare so I could fly home, change and meet back at church to train someone as a wedding coordinator. I was kinda bummed that I had to do this since Lindsey was in town already. (Keenan came in on Saturday). So I spent 2 1/2 hours with that and was finally able to come home! Yay!

So now it's Saturday, Morgan is napping and what am I doing??? Updating you all on our fabulous life! Here are some more picture from the last month... and now I'm going to sit down and read a book!

Scary Trip to the ER

The last 10 days have been anything but boring...in fact, I'm sure we couldn't have possibly fit anything else into the last week. Paul summed it up pretty well in an email to family early this week...

So we've had a pretty hard last ten days. Last weekend, the van broke down and I missed two days of work. Then my friend Mike was in town for Nichole's funeral which really sucked. Then Jess woke up Fri morning having difficulty breathing which resulted in an ambulance ride to the ER. Ends up she had a severe allergic reaction to an antibiotic she was on, and her lung tissue became inflamed which led to the labored breathing. She spent Fri and Sat in the hospital. While I was bringing Morgan home from the hospital on Fri night, we were a mile from home and she started throwing up all over herself. I got her bathed, and in bed, then proceeded to clean out the car and car seat until 11 pm. She subsequently puked in her bed for the next four nights. I believe i was doing laundry at 2:30 am Sunday morning. Jess is getting better, but not allowed to work this week. It will take up to a month to regain all lung capacity. Morgan stopped chucking just in time to start her new daycare yesterday, which I am now driving her to and fro, because Jess can't drive either. I believe I've been able to squeeze in about ten hours of work in the last week...

That just about sums up our last 10 days. Fortunately, Morgan hasn't been sick in the last two nights, and she has now had 2 successful days at daycare. Our new daycare lady is wonderful and Morgan really seems to like Christina (Nina as she says) and the other kids. I had a follow up appointment yesterday to see how the lungs are doing. All of my vital stats are back to normal, however my lungs still get tired easily, so I'm still trying to keep it low-key. I also start work this week too, so I pray I'll have the energy to keep up with a 40 hour work week. We'll see...

Finding childcare...the homestretch?

At the end of July we found out that our current daycare provider would be going back to work September 1st. The past month we have been scrambling to find people to watch Morgan. It has been an interesting, exhausting road but we're getting there, I think. We have met with different providers every night this week. This morning I said to Paul, "Guess, What? It's Friday AND we aren't meeting with anyone tonight!!!" Yay!!! However, that is short lived. We are still meeting with three more people by Wednesday of next week. Hopefully by Thursday we'll have a decision made! Please pray that we find someone who is exactly what we're looking for and someone who will love and care for Morgan like we do.

Morgan's 18 Months!

Morgan turned 18 months at the end of July and she has just exploded with all of her talking. And yes, I mean all of her talking, whether understood or not! We are continually amazing at her ability to learn new things so quickly. She brings such a joy to our house!

We didn't get many pictures of her this time, as she was pretty unhappy at picture time. Fortunately, daddy's phone is still very exciting and managed to put a smile on her face for a few minutes so we could get some happy pictures! Enjoy! :)

Busy Summer Already

Ok. I've been pretty bad about posting on our blog all summer. We have been so busy these last couple of months, I can't seem to find enough time to sleep, let alone update you all on the happenings of our crazy life. AND, because I am absolutely addicted to a book series I was introduced to by some friends at church. I am reading the O'Malley series by Dee Hendrickson. If you ever have the time, or even if you don't (I don't have the time and I'm reading them), you should really check them out. It is a GREAT Christian based series. I am already on book 3 and it's only been about 5 weeks. So, when I tell you they're good, I mean it! So basically what I'm saying is that I'm reading these books in all my free time instead of keeping you updated!

To back up a bit, June was a crazy month filled with camping trips and Friends and family in town to visit. One weekend in June we had a FULL house! Paul's Cousin Tom and his family were here, as well as Paul's friend, Neil and his family, and another friend, Sam. ALL of them were at our house one weekend! There were 7 adults, and 7 kids ages 6 and younger! WHOA! It was CRAZY FUN! We had a blast, stayed up late, woke up early and paid for it all weekend long! It was an awesome, tiring time but it was so much fun and I hope we can do it again next summer! Also in June, Paul and the other Bohrer guys went on their annual camping trip for the summer. They spent a weekend of fun at Perrot State Park in Wisconsin. They went canoing and hiking and this year it didn't rain!

July has been much of the same craziness. We took Morgan to the zoo one weekend, which was a lot of fun. It was just a gorgeous day without ANY humidity. It was beautiful. Morgan had a blast watching the animals while nibbling on some snacks and juice. What more could a girl want??? She oohed and ahhed at the giraffe's. There was even a baby giraffe. It was a lot of fun to see Morgan watching all the animals! She is just so adorable!

Paul got to go to Miller Park, with a buddy from our lifeGroup, to see the Brewer's and Twin's play. He went to the right game; Twin's beat the Brewer's by a landslide! Of course, that was the week after all the flooding in Wisconsin so they had a 45 minute detour at Midnight trying to get home and didn't get home until 2am. That was quite a treat!

The church staff and all of our families also went to a Brewer's game last week. That was a TON of fun! Tailgating with church people is AWESOME! It was my first experience with Wisconsin tailgating. I'll tell ya what, if you haven't tailgated in Wisconsin, you haven't tailgated yet!!! It was just the most amazing experience.

And, of course I need to share some Morgan tidbits. I think she has hit some 18 month milestone or something. She is just talking constantly...even if it makes no sense. She has always been the child to wait to talk until she knows just how to say it correctly. Well, that has gone out the window. She just walks around jibber-jabbing about anything and everything and we have NO idea what she's saying. It's so hilarious. She is starting to use many 2 word phrases like 'eat apple' or 'more cheese' and it's just amazing to watch her grow. She has also just learned how to say "mine." LOVE that one! She says 'Chico' all the time, which is our daycare providers' dogs' name. She just LOVES chico. Some day we will have to get a dog! We also just found out last week that our daycare provider, Jenny, has to go back to work because she's unable to find more children to care for. That is REALLY sad! Two of Jenny's kids have gone back home with their mom's because they have new baby brothers and sisters, so that leaves Morgan as the only full-time kid left. It's sad to think that we will have to take Morgan away from the routine, and the friends that she is accustomed to and she'll have to start all over again. It makes me want to cry just to think about it. I know God will take care of her and find a good place for her to go. It's just VERY stressful to find someone you know will love and care for your child as you do. I really don't even want to begin the search. It's just so overwhelming. I do have a couple of leads on in-home daycare from some people at church though, so pray that we find someone who will love her and enjoy her as much as we do!

We have a staff retreat at work for the next 2 days, so I'm excited to see what that is all about. I'll have to let you know more next time...I need to get back to my book! :) That is all for now!

So here I am...playing on the computer this morning because, yet again my family is sick. Paul and Morgan are both napping, so I'm catching up with my email and ordering pictures online. In the last couple of days Morgan has come down with a nasty dry cough. It's been much of the same old stuff...getting up at night, holding her, giving her medicine and suction her poor little nose. I also think she might be teething, so that is adding to the crabbiness. Paul has been completely congested and practically used a box of tissues in one night. So, I am hoping that I stay clear of the nastiness this time. Hopefully, this bout of colds will be much quicker than the last!

I plan to have much more exciting news the next time I write!

Busy Spring Weeks

So this last week has been quite a busy and fun filled week for us. Our friends, Tim, Claire and Keenan were in town this week so it was wonderful to catch up and hang out. Keenan was only in town for a night, but it was great to see him after almost a year. Keenan brought their Cat, Henry. Tim and Claire brought their big dog, Abbra. Needless to say, the introduction did not go very well and Henry did NOT enjoy Abbra at all. He was pretty angry for quite a while after the introduction. Afterward he spent most of the time underneath our bed. It was a good thing there were 2 levels in the house so poor Henry didn't get eaten! I'll have to add a picture of cute little Henry.

We also just got back from a trip to Minnesota for the yearly family picnic with Paul's family. It was so awesome to see all the cousins and little kids running around. They all have grown up SO much and there are even new babies joining the picnic for the first time. It was great to see Morgan with all of the cousins running around and playing together. The big girls, Ashlyn, Issy, and Emma were great older cousins and walked around with Morgan. Morgan just LOVED it and kept giving out hugs. It was too sweet. I think Morgan wants an older sister; she just loved following them around.

This week was a great week to see friends and family we haven't seen in quite some time, however, along with that comes many late nights and less sleep, so we are all pretty wiped out. This week we plan to take it easy and recuperate from the long week. I have my first experience as "wedding coordinator" for a wedding at our church this weekend, so I'm resting up for another long weekend.

So, finally after about 3 weeks of just yuckiness in our household, we are finally BACK!

We like to do things as a family, so this time we thought we would all get some Antibiotics together too! Morgan ended up with an ear infection after about 1 and 1/2 weeks of a head cold and nasty cough. Paul had quite a productive cough that he got treated with antibiotics and I got my first Sinus infection and my own round of antibiotics. (I was feeling left out). This all took place over about a 3 week period. So, between Morgan not being able to sleep laying down, Paul not being able to sleep without coughing and me not being able to sleep because of the pain in my head, we were exhausted and just a bit touchy. What a treat is was for all of us.

Fortunately we are just finishing the antibiotics and we are doing tremendously better! We are now looking forward to our trip to Minnesota since are healthy and well slept!

Rising Gael

Rising Gael is a young Irish band that is based in Madison. They are great to watch and Paul and I have had the pleasure of watching them at a local restaurant in town before Morgan was born. They are just amazing! They are also playing at Fitchburg Days this weekend. Hopefully we can take some time and go watch them.

Many New Changes...

So, I have been very bad at keeping our site updated...but I have good reason. We have finally got our internet hooked back up after the big move to our new house! yay! So, now that it's up and running, I don't have much of an excuse not to post. We moved into our new house about 3 weeks ago and we're finally settling in. Morgan did pretty well, but over the past week we all have developed a pretty good head cold so it's been pretty rough. Morgan's been up a lot the last 3 nights so, needless to say none of us have gotten much sleep. We keep telling ourselves that these colds have to go away sometime!!!

Our house is wonderful and it's great having all the space. Morgan has really enjoyed exploring all the new things around the house. She also loves the laundry shoot...I'm waiting to see what ends up down there! (food, toys, books???)

The business is also getting pretty busy and that is a great thing, finally. We are pretty booked up for the next few weeks at least and at the rate the work is coming, I don't foresee any problems this summer! We are excited that the summers seem to keep us busy! Speaking of summer, it is finally starting to warm up a bit and Morgan got to wear shorts to daycare just yesterday! We can't believe how much she's grown up! She has legs! Long ones!!! She's not a chubby little baby anymore! It was quite a realization, that's for sure!

Morgan's First Steps!!!

Last night Morgan took her first steps ALL BY HERSELF! YAY!!! She was walking from me to Daddy, and she took 4 steps! That was a HUGE proud parent moment. It was very exciting for all of us. Morgan laughed a little bit, but didn't quite have a big smile like we did. She was excited, but still kinda nervous about doing it by herself! Morgan's definitely been the cautious child, so I don't think she has realized that she could walk by herself. So needless to say, once she really realizes that she can do it on her own, she's sure to take off!

We tried to get video of this major milestone, however Morgan was VERY excited once we got the video camera out and fell to her knees to crawl to the shiny metal "toy" as fast as possible. So much for getting her on video walking...what a ham!

Hopefully she'll allow us to video tape her without her stopping to attack the camera! We'll share it as soon as we can get it!

Fun in the Snow!

We finally had a warm day last weekend, and we were all able to go outside in the snow. It was only Morgan's second time out in the snow this year. It has been so cold and nasty for so long, we haven't been able to get outside. A lot has changed since she was first outside in the snow. The first time we were outside she couldn't even walk, so this time she wanted to walk everywhere, which was interesting in the FEET of snow covering the ground. We had a great time, and Daddy even made a mini snowman that Morgan had fun kicking over! It as a lot of fun to get outside and play together. Hopefully it will continue to warm up and we can go outside more!

Morgan's 1 Year Old; Happy Birthday!

So, our sweet "little" girl turned one on January 29th. What a whirlwind it has been this last year, but Morgan has made our lives so much sweeter than it ever could have been without her. Every day she amazes us with the things she is doing, and new words pop up almost daily. It's just overwhelming how much God has blessed us with this precious life.

Morgan has done SO many things since our last posting. She is saying so many words, including (doggie-which was her first real word). That was back in December actually. She is also saying, Uh-oh, oops and oopsie, baby, button, block, and I'm sure I'm missing a few too. Her latest phrase is "what's that." I'm sure she has no idea that she is actually asking a question, as she says it all day long, and could care less about the answer she gets! It is still absolutely adorable to hear though. That's still two words in a row!!! Yay!! She has also learned a couple of signs as well. She can sign "all done" and "more." We are teaching her a few more, so hopefully that will help with the frustration. Speaking of, "help" is one of the signs we are working on now too!

Every day Morgan is doing more and more. The other day, she lifted up my pantleg and moved her tongue in and out of her mouth as though she were tickling me. I nearly died it was so funny! What a cutiepie. I wish she could stay this age forever!

BREAKING NEWS...The Pumpkin is mobile!!!

Finally, we are the proud parents of a crawling daughter! For the past two weeks, Morgan has been growing in leaps and bounds in the crawling department. About two weeks ago, she realized she could get up on all fours. Slowly, she has taken one or two steps over the past 2 weeks. Last night she let off the breaks and just took off. She realized she could leave her toy area all by herself and she made a bee-line toward the kitchen, with an enormous grin on her face. It was the most precious thing I think I've ever seen! She then proceeded to throw everything out of daddy's lunchbox and chew on some crackers (still in the package of course). It was just amazing to watch our daughter grow up right before our very eyes! I was near tears and she was all smiles! It was absolutely wonderful! I've never been so happy or proud! What a wonderful moment!

Hopefully I'll have a picture of her crawling online soon. But for now...we're off to baby proof the house!

Our first Christmas as a family was a huge success. We enjoyed the Christmas Eve Service at our church with Jeff, Dana and the kids. Afterward, we met at their place and exchanged gifts and had snacks. It was a ton of watching watching all of the kids open their gifts, and Morgan opened her First Christmas Gift Ever too! Santa brought lots of gifts Christmas morning and it took Morgan until the afternoon to finish. Namely because she was all tuckered out and needed a nap halfway through. She has quickly grasped the art of opening presents, and she thoroughly enjoys it. Although she mostly enjoyed the paper and boxes, once it was all gone, she has really enjoyed all of her gifts. We're a bit behind...Tis the season

So much has happened since our last posting. Thanksgiving has come and gone, and Morgan is growing as fast as ever. We are all finally getting over the 6 weeks of colds we had running rampant through our house, and Morgan has finally adapted to daycare very well. Unfortunately for me, that is just in time for her to start having the attachment issues. At this point, she is just clinging to my neck for dear life, and that is bad enough. Once she starts crying when I leave, then I'm likely to be a sobbing mess on the way to work. Maybe I'll be the lucky Mommy who doesn't have to go through that stuff right??? Maybe Morgan will completely skip that stage...that is what I'm hoping anyways. Maybe I'm just dreaming...

We spent Thanksgiving just down the street at Jeff and Dana's house. That was a blast. We ate lots of yummy food and spent some good quality time together. Grandma Geri came from Minnesota and Eric and Jen also came down from Minnesota and that was great to have them stay with us. Grandma Geri even watched ALL of the kids one night so the six of us could have a night out on the town!!! Ok, so we just went to have some food and drinks, but we were out until Midnight!!! Yay!!! We are still young! Morgan had her first Thanksgiving meal and we found out that she is just a turkey hound! The girl just LOVES meat! Turkey, ham, you name it she loves it. She was also extremely fond of the sweet potato's, which are the Bohrer kids' favorite, so she fit in very well. Morgan enjoyed every bit of it, but we pretty much covered in it when she was done. I've included a photo below of daddy taking the dust buster to Morgan's clothes to clean her off. She absolutely loved it and thought it was funny!

Since Thanksgiving Morgan has graduated to eating adult food. It's wonderful to give her what we are eating for dinner, and it's great not to make special trips to the store because we're out of food for her. She is definitely growing fast. I can't believe her 1st birthday is just around the corner!

Our Little Piglet

Halloween was lots of fun this year. It's much more fun when you have children, and you see them get so excited! Our sweet little girl went as piglet. She was just too sweet! She went trick-or-treating with her cousins around their neighborhood. Abby was a Nebraska Cheerleader, Caleb was a lion, Anna was Cinderella (before she was a princess), and Noah was a frog. They were all so cute together! It was a blast to watch them all. This year Morgan was just content to sit and watch everyone from the stroller. I guess we better enjoy that this year, I'm sure next year she'll want to get out and run with the big kids! Just the thought that she'll be walking next Halloween is just CRAZY!!! AHHHH!!!!

Morgan was a bit under the weather on Halloween night, and we found out Thursday night that she has her first ear infection. The poor little girl. We have to say that she has been quite the trooper though. We have one tough cookie and she has already shown signs that the medication is working. She is mostly back to her happy self and we couldn't be happier. We realized how much we missed her happy laughs and big smiles!

Trip to the Pumpkin Patch, with our Pumpkin!

Morgan's first trip to the Pumpkin Patch was this weekend. Unfortunately, it was a very quick visit. We set out Saturday afternoon to find a Pumpkin farm that neither of us had been to before. However, there was a bridge out on the road where the farm was supposed to be. So, we ended up going to pumpkin farm relatively close to our house, which was great. Except for the fact that we arrived there at 4:40pm and it closed at 5pm. It was short visit, but just long enough to get some pictures of our little pumpkin sitting among all the big pumpkins! It was still fun to see her excited about the pumpkins!

Fall Trip to NH

We are finally home safe and sound from our trip out East. We got home last night, Wednesday and we jumped right back into work & daycare today.

Our trip was so much fun, but so exhausting. Morgan was quite the trooper. She put up with sitting in her car seat much better than we anticipated. Toward the end of the trip each way she was pretty crabby, but hey, so were we so we couldn't blame her.

We got to meet Morgan's cousin Gareth and see lots of family. Morgan was quite nervous at the family reunion as there were many new faces for her. Fortunately some of them did meet her the day we got there, so at least she knew some faces.

We had a great time, but we are glad we are back home and trying to get back into a routine. Here are some pictures from our great adventure; and Morgan's FIRST Vacation!!!

Trip to NH - Oct. 07

More teeth are poppin' through!

This is the first entry we've had in quite some time because Morgan has had a VERY rough last couple of weeks. And when I say rough, I mean just awful. She worked hard to get those top 2 teeth to come through for about 2 weeks. We went to the doctor's office the last Wednesday in September because she had a temperature of 102.5 and this was the first time Morgan had ever had a fever and we all were feeling it. The poor girl was waking up at night, almost every night crying and just wanting to be held. She was having trouble eating and wasn't chewing on any toys. That was a first. I guess her little gums were just too raw to chew on stuff. This went on for about a week until Tuesday October 1st. That was supposed to be my first day back at work full-time, but that didn't happen. I scheduled her for another doctor's visit on Tuesday because I was beginning to think there was something wrong. However, that morning her fever broke and a nice pearly white popped through. I have NEVER been so excited to see a tooth in my life!

Fortunately Morgan is back to her happy go lucky self and we are all happy that is over and done with, until the Molars, we hope! Yay!!! Our happy baby girl is back!

Labor Day Weekend in St. Paul

Labor Day weekend was a great extended weekend for us. We left Friday night and didn't have to come back until Tuesday. It was a great trip! We were able to catch up with a lot of the family and Morgan was able to play with her cousins!

On Saturday, Morgan spent some time with Grandma while Paul and I went out for a few hours. It was great for Paul and I spend some quality time together! Of course, that doesn't happen too often these days, so it was much appreciated. Saturday evening, Paul, Morgan and I met up with the cousins and their kids. Morgan got to sit and play with Lila, baby Gavin, and baby Gabby. Meanwhile, Emma, Ashlyn and Izzy were running around playing too! We also got to visit with Tracy, who is due with twins in December! She looked wonderful and it was great to hear all about those sweet little boys growing in her tummy! It was a regular daycare, but it was a lot of fun to watch them all and catch up! We stayed pretty late and Morgan did very well sleeping at their place. I guess she felt right at home with all the kids running and crawling around!

Gone are the days of sleeping in after staying out late! So, we tried to have a relaxing Sunday morning and in the afternoon we spent some time with Grandpa Larry, and Sue. Morgan was a bit hesitant around Grandpa Larry, but it didn't take long before she was giving him her sweet dimpled smiles! Morgan even took a good nap at their house. We're glad we have such a versatile daughter and she doesn't seem to be very picky about where she sleeps!

Monday Paul and I went to the Twins game, which was quite uneventful, but it was still fun to get out and enjoy the afternoon. Morgan played with Cousin Lila at Ted and Theresa's house while we were gone. Finally, Tuesday we headed home. We were all exhausted, but we had a blast!

August has been a fun month, although it has just flown by! Morgan is now 7 months old! Whoa! Where has the time gone! She is growing up too fast! She still is not crawling, but we really don't think she will crawl. We have a learning table that she loves to stand at and play. She can stand for quite some time too. She also loves to lean against the couch and play with her toys on the couch!

Just last weekend we went to Morgan's first parade. The Middleton Parade. It was actually such a big parade that had to leave in the middle of it for nap time. Morgan did great and loved it. She wasn't scared at all. A couple times she made some pretty weird faces, but she loved it! Below are some pictures from the Parade!

Good Times in July & August

Morgan turned 6 months old on July 29th. How crazy is that??? We had her 6 month check and she is doing great. She is now 19 pounds 8 ounces and 27 inches long. A very big girl! She is still at the top of the charts for height and weight. Fortunately now she is growing into her head too!

Morgan is now sitting up all on her own, with the occasional tipsy topple! Yay!!! She is also eating big girl food and trying some of our dinners too! This morning Morgan and I had to run some errands so we stopped at Denny's and had breakfast. She got to have some potatoes. Very exciting! I think the jury is still out on the taste of them!

Morgan has gotten her second tooth now! We just found it today, but it looks like it has been there a couple of days already. I can't believe how quickly it happens. I guess once the first one's through, they just a keep on comin'!!!

Morgan had her first experience in her new Pool on Wednesday afternoon! It was a super hot day so we busted out the pool and we put her in her cute little swimmers, and her new bathing suit! She really enjoyed it right from the start. We didn't even get any funny faces! There were plenty of pool toys to try to eat, so she had a blast and I think we had just as much fun as she did! There is nothing cuter in this world than seeing your baby in a tiny winy bathing suit!!! I just had an ear to ear grin the whole time! It was GREAT fun!

June is a BIG month!

June has been a huge month in the Bohrer family. First, we had Morgan's 4 month check up on June 6th, ahd she is a healthy growing girl. She weighed in at 16 1/2 pounds and 26 1/2 inches. 98% and 99% for height and weight! I think we've got a little Paully on our hands! Our doctor agreed with me that she is probably teething, as she has been crabby some days, which is totally unlike her. For a few days I actually wondered what happened to our daughter. She was just not herself. Fortunately, she has come around and is only having bad days every once in a while now.

Morgan also had her first meal (rice cereal) on June 8th and has been loving it ever since! She made the typical "what is this stuff in my mouth" face, but she always wants more and just can't get enough of it. She has been in a highchair a couple of times, and seems to enjoy playing with toys in it. We are still waiting a couple of weeks to eat in it, as she is still a bit unsteady. Morgan has also taken to her swing again. We think she really enjoys being able to sit up and see more of the world, and she's actually big enough to play with the attached toys now too! Here are a couple pictures of her in the swing. What a cutepie!

The last bit of June news is that Morgan is finally sleeping with her arms out now! Hurray!!! This was a huge deal because she was constantly waking up in the middle of the night when she would become unswaddled! She was just too big to be swaddled anymore. So, last week we began working on that, and she has adapted very well, and so have we because we are getting much more sleep!!! Here is a picture of the first time sleeping with her arms out!

Well, many new things have happened this month and we have loved every minute of it. We'll keep you posted on all of the new things that are still coming up! Until next time...

We are finally home and getting things back to normal after our fun but exhausting trip to St. Paul for Memorial Day Weekend. We were a bit worried about the trip, especially after our experience going to our friends' wedding in Milwaukee a couple weekends ago, but Morgan did absolutely wonderful all weekend long and actually napped in her pack-and-play outside at the park!!! We were very proud parents! She enjoyed meeting the family and getting some fresh air! It was a bit windy, but as you'll see in the video above, she had an adorable hat on and was all cozied up in a blankie, so she was nice and toasty! We got to meet Tom & Angie's new twins, Gavin and Gabrielle. They were just so sweet and adorable. It is hard to imagine that Morgan was almost that tiny only a few short months ago!!! We also got to meet Lila, Ted & Theresa's 5 month-old daughter! She was such a cute little bundle! It is amazing how fast kids grow up and things change in the Bohrer family, so it was great to see everyone and catch up on the past few months!

We stayed with Uncle Eric for a few days and then with Grandpa Larry and Sue and Morgan did very well sleeping at both places. We were grateful that she took to her pack-and-play so quickly! It would have been a long weekend without it! Paul and I were actually able to go out two nights in a row while Grandma Geri spent some time with Morgan. One night we went out with Eric and his girlfriend, Jen, and the other night we got to spend some quality time out at dinner together. It was a great time!

All in all, it was a great first trip for all of us! We had a great time and can't wait until the next time we can go back home!

Morgan's First All Day Outing!

We finally had our first day trip as a family this past Saturday. We were not able to get a sitter so we ventured out to a friends wedding, Morgan in tow. She handled being stuck in the car for the ride to Milwaukee fairly well, even though she couldn't get out and play. She was such a good girl all day. She was like a little sponge just taking the whole world in and she was very mellow and barely even made a peep all day.

However, at about 6pm, that all changed! Everything was so new and exciting and she just would not sleep the WHOLE day. So by 6pm she was just pooped; crying and all. Fortunately, we were able to get her to doze off for about a half hour, but since she hadn't slept in hours, that did very little. The screaming began again just as we were pulling out of the reception to head home. She screamed for about a half hour in the car until finally she just gave in to utter exhaustion. So....the lesson learned??? Do WHATEVER POSSIBLE, TO MAKE HER TAKE A NAP!!! There is absolutely nothing worse than being strapped into a car next to a screaming baby who is completely over-tired!

So, that being said, hopefully our trip to St. Paul for Memorial Day Weekend will be much better. Stayed tuned for the update...

Easter was a great day! Grandma Geri and cousins Abby, and Caleb joined us for the Easter service at our church. Then we enjoyed a yummy lunch at Jeff and Dana's house afterwards, where the Easter Bunny delivered more baskets for Lil' M. What a spoiled little girl!

2 Month Check Up - What a big girl!

Friday was quite an eventful day. It was Morgan's 2 Month check up at the Doctor's office, and I think it was just as tramatic for me as it was for her. I thought I'd be able to handle her getting shots, but boy was I unprepared. I think I cried just as much as she did. It was just awful to watch her in so much pain. I cried so much, the nurse said I made her cry. Atleast it is over, and it won't happen again for another couple of months.

We also found out that Morgan has probably had a cold the past couple of weeks. Dr. Culp said he could see that her nose was stuffed up and irritated. That explains why she has been so "off" lately. He said she's eating more often because she isn't getting as much because she can't breath very well through her nose, and that she isn't napping as well because she is probably waking up because she can't breath. So, it seems like we have our first case of the sniffles. We have been suctioning her poor little nose like crazy, so he told us to get some nasal drops to help with that. He also told us to use infant tylenol to help her feel better if she seems particularly fussy. So, all in all, it was a good visit. It is good to know that we are doing what we should and she is a little off her "schedule" because of a cold, and not because we are doing things wrong. That was good to hear.

The fun news is that she is now 12lbs. 5 oz., and 22 inches. Whoa! What a big girl. She has grown so fast. She is in the 84th percentile for weight and 93rd percentile for height. She is also in the 94th percentile for her head. (I could have guessed that! She is a Bohrer!)

Morgan's Baptism - March 25, 2007

Morgan's Special day was on March 25, 2007. It was great to have Eric, Jen, Great-Grandma Bohrer, and Larry in town for the big event! Jeff, Dana, Abby, Caleb, Anna and Noah were also there as well as all of our friends from church. It was great to have everyone there to be with our family to welcome Morgan into God's family. Morgan did so good and only let out a little squeal once, just so we all knew that she was awake! I was so happy I couldn't keep my tears in. It was absolutely beautiful!

(As you can see above, Morgan wasn't quite so happy for pictures after the ceremony. She is definitely getting attached to that Nuk).

After church we enjoyed a lunch with all of our friends and family at the Hanschke's house. Morgan was a good girl and enjoyed playing and cooing at everyone (while laying on the floor). Unfortunately, she has already gotten to the stage where she doesn't want to be held, and would rather lay on the floor and check things out herself. A very independent girl! It was a long but wonderful day for all of us!

Morgan's first smile on Camera! Hurray, she can smile on cue now! The picture with the lion was taken as she was playing with her baby gym (that Nany gave her). She just loves it, as you can see! It is great entertainment and endless MINUTES of fun! (Of course, she can only handle so much at one time. It's quite the overload to the senses!) The other pictures were taken during our morning "play time." She is already quite the talker and such a happy baby! I just love her dimples too. Thank you daddy for those adorable dimples!

Bath time for Morgan

Morgan's first bath with both Mommy and Daddy was a complete success! She absolutely loved it and was talking up a storm the whole time!

The picture of her in the towel is one of my absolute favorites. You just gotta love it! Perfectly cute in every way! We didn't know it was possible, but we just love her more and more every day! I often wonder how many times I've kissed her in just one day! (Or in just one hour!) She is just so cuddly and kissable! We are so grateful that she is a very good natured baby and we have truly been blessed to have Morgan in our lives. It has definitely been life changing, but we love it and we wouldn't have it any other way!

This is Morgan on Valentines Day at about 2 weeks old. She is wearing my dress that I wore when I was 2 weeks old (for christmas pictures).

This is me at two weeks. I was being a bit more cooperative in this picture than Morgan was. (Morgan was just a tad bit crabby! Hey, those cute little dresses don't look all that cozy to me!)

It's not as easy to see the similarities since Morgan is a bit unhappy, but look closely and you can see it!

Happy Valentine's Day

Today was a big day in the Bohrer household. Nany was in town, so Paul and I were able to go out for a date night for the first time since Morgan was born. It was also a big day for Morgan, who had a bottle for the first time too, and she did absolutely wonderful!

We also took some Valentine's Day pictures of Morgan and Nany. The red dress Morgan is wearing is the dress I wore when I was two weeks old, so it was amazing to see her in it. She looks just like me!

Morgan Grace Has Arrived!!!

Morgan Grace Bohrer arrived January 29, 2007 at 5:20pm. She weighed 7lbs. 6oz. and was 20 inches long.

She is so beautiful it makes our hearts melt. We love to just stare at her while she sleeps, which makes it difficult to sleep while she is sleeping! She has just been the most wonderful baby since she is very mellow and only cries when she's hungry or having her diaper changed. She is sleeping for 3 hours at a time at night, so we are able to get a good amount of sleep, which we are very grateful for. We have just been so blessed these past couple of weeks and we praise God for this beautiful child we have been given. We couldn't have made something so beautiful on our own!

We have taken tons of pictures already, and here are just a few. We are having trouble making a link to add them all to this website, but as soon as we can figure that out, we will be able to share more pictures!

40 Weeks; Baby girl due anytime...

40 Weeks! We made it! Today is baby girl's due date and she is still not here as of yet, so we'll keep waiting and waiting... We had our doctor's appointment yesterday and things are progressing, so hopefully she'll arrive this week. If nothing happens this week, then we will discuss induction options at our appointment next Friday. We hope to have our little girl in our arms by then! We'll keep you all posted!

Christmas 2006

Christmas was wonderful this year. We stayed in Madison since it was so close to my due date and it was great to relax a little bit. We went to the Candlelight Service with Jeff, Dana, and the kids at their church, St. Andrews. Then we all met back at their place for some present opening and card playing. It was a great time!

Paul and I spent Christmas Day together and it was very relaxing, which was MUCH needed. We are already looking forward to next year. Baby girl will be 11 months old! Wow! I can't wait! Only 2 more weeks and counting...We are as ready as we are going to be, so bring it on!!!

Baby Girl Bohrer @ 33 Weeks

Hello All,

Here is our baby girl at 33 weeks. We were even lucky enough to get a few pictures in 3D. She showed her face for all of 30 seconds right as we were about to wrap up, so we are very fortunate that she decided to make an appearance so we could see her face! And with her eyes open! Wow! She has grown so much since the last ultrasound in July! She is a healthy 4 1/2 pounds already, so they concluded that we are on course for an 8 pound baby. Again, everything looked wonderful, so we are very excited!

Now there's only about six weeks left until our lives become absolutely nuts. Time has just flown by! We are very close to finishing the baby's room and we just got the crib, so we have to assemble that. That is the last piece of major furniture, so we are just about ready for her arrival! We can't wait!!!

Welcome to our new blog! We will try to keep this up to date, however, we are still learning as we go along, so it may take a bit to figure it all out.

We wanted to start at the beginning, so here is our first picture of our little cashew at 11 weeks (back in July). It's amazing to see how much she's grown since then! Wow, how time flies!
